Haven introduces new sandcastle accommodation choice, inspired by holidaymakers

This summer, leading UK holiday provider Haven is bringing the childhood dream alive of living in a sandcastle by offering a new summer accommodation option, inspired by the holiday company’s very own guests’ creations.  

Haven has undertaken research from guests to crown the number one beach activity, with sandcastle building coming out on top. A fun-for-all choice, sandcastle building is a rite of passage for those visiting or vacationing by a beach and serves as a fantastic way to get the creative juices flowing by imagining, designing and constructing the perfect sand sculpture.  

Following the research and guest feedback, Haven set out to gather inspiration from the variation of accommodation it offers to its thousands of guests each year. Guest feedback showed that holidaymakers love to opt for spacious and unique accommodation with a British staycation feel.

We’re delighted to announce a brand-new style in the form of a uniquely built and liveable sandcastle exclusively for our guests.” 

Modelled against Haven’s existing Glamping accommodation which boasts Yurts, Safari Tents, Geo Domes and Pods, the new sandcastle accommodation will be fully insulated with sandy floors and boardwalks throughout, wicker style furniture, the choice of single and double beds with an added sofa for comfort. The usual Haven amenities will apply including a mini fridge, bed linen, storage space with full access to touring wash facilities.  

With 41 holiday parks dotted around the British coastlines, sand is in no short supply at Haven, meaning material and transport costs are kept to a minimum. The natural resource has lower embodied emissions compared to typical construction materials, such as concrete and bricks; and walls made from sand have a high thermal mass – making it perfect for keeping the building cool in those sizzling summer months!  

The sandcastle accommodation is available from June to August across all Haven holiday parks and provides a one-of-a-kind experience that is perfect for recounting all special staycation memories.
