The Jump at Golden Sands

Haven gearing up for ‘high’ levels of fun with new activities across its parks

Haven add new activities Crazi-Bugz® and Footgolf to parks this summer

  • Haven brings key elements of successful adventure village concepts to more parks
  • New ranges of activities and entertainments across parks with over 103 activities and 62 entertainments on offer to Haven guests

Leading UK holiday operator, Haven, has announced it will be bringing some of the key features of its adventure villages to more parks this summer providing a huge array of fun for all the family.

The Jump, which was first launched at Craig Tara in 2019 as part of the Lighthouse Harbour Adventure Village development will arrive at nine additional parks this summer. The Jump is a thrill-seeking activity giving holidaymakers the experience of free falling from two different heights onto a massive airbag. Whether watching or participating, it is a huge attraction and will be a great addition to these parks.

Climbing walls have long been a feature at Haven parks, but since the arrival of the new adventure villages, they have become more thrilling, more exciting, and a challenge to even the more experienced climbers. All new and improved Climbing Walls will feature at eight parks this summer perfect for building your strength, endurance and flexibility.

Thrill-seeking isn’t just limited to older people at Haven as the Mini Aerial Adventure is perfect for little ones wanting to try the ‘high’ challenges. At just one metre off the ground, it provides younger guests with a challenge than a scare with parents getting to walk the course with them at ground level. Five parks will receive Mini Aerial Adventures and expect them to be a great hit.

Think you’re a good driver? Maybe it’s time to put your skills to the test with the new Crazi-Bugz® which will be arriving at Devon Cliffs and Hafan y Mor this summer. Once you’ve tried a Crazi-Bugz® then you’ll have a better idea of what it’s like to drive a tank. These six-wheeled electric vehicles are controlled by gear sticks, are a huge amount of fun to manoeuvre and will be great to try out on our multi-terrain course.

Rounding out the activities Haven is increasing the range of parks it offers bike hire at with another eight parks giving the guests the chance to explore the beautiful coastline around the parks, whilst the new sport of Footgolf, a fun game of a combination of football and golf was introduced to three parks last year and is extended to a further three parks.

Talking about the new activities introduced, Gerard Tempest, Chief Marketing Officer for Haven said: “Our guests have been enjoying more and more our range of activities and the new adventure villages have been a real success and we will be opening two more this year at Thorpe Park and Allhallows.”

“Whilst we would love to in time bring the full Adventure Villages to all our parks, in 2022 we’re ensuring that more parks have the best these great activity spaces have to offer and look forward to seeing these open ahead of the key summer holiday period.”

All activities should be in place by the school summer holiday period. All activities are subject to final planning permission.
