Haven Expands JD Wetherspoon Partnership: New Pubs at top UK Holiday Parks in 2026

  • £9 million investment in new J D Wetherspoon pubs at Haven parks
  • New pubs at Cala Gran, Hopton, Lakeland and Riviere Sands
  • Investment part of £14 million winter investment in food and beverage venues

Haven, the UK’s leading holiday park operator, will open a further four onsite J D Wetherspoon pubs in spring 2026 – building on their exclusive partnership, launched in 2024, and bringing the total number of Wetherspoons on Haven’s parks to nine.

The new pubs will open in the spring at Haven’s Cala Gran in Blackpool, Lakeland in Cumbria, Riviere Sands in Cornwall and, AA Holiday Park of the Year, Hopton in Norfolk.

Haven will invest £9 million in the new J D Wetherspoon pubs, part of a wider £14 million programme of upgrades to food and beverage outlets this winter, with the company preparing to welcome up to four million guests in 2026. These developments build on the £140 million Haven has invested in its parks in 2025.

As part of this enhanced food and beverage offering, Haven Rockley Park in Poole will see a new Burger King – bringing the total number of Burger Kings on Haven’s parks to 22. Further investments include a Show Bar renovation at Marton Mere in Blackpool and Haven Kent Coast will have a new supermarket.  Haven Kent Coast will also open its new £10m water park this spring.

The first J D Wetherspoon pub opened in March 2024 at Haven’s Primrose Valley Holiday Park in Filey, North Yorkshire.  Following this, four more J D Wetherspoon were built at Haggerston Castle near Berwick, Northumberland, Cleethorpes Beach in Lincolnshire, Devon Cliffs near Exmouth and Kent Coast near Rochester.

Haven’s Primrose Valley, Devon Cliffs and Kent Coast parks are all open in December for Festive bookings with Christmas lunches available in their J D Wetherspoon.  Rockley Park and Cala Gran are also open for Festive and New Year breaks.

Since launching the partnership, Haven and J D Wetherspoon have served 907,000 main meals, 288,000 breakfasts and pulled 692,201 pints across the five sites.

Simon Palethorpe, CEO, Haven, said:

“Haven is all about giving our customers more of what they love – and our partnership with J D Wetherspoon does just that.  All our parks give our guests and owners access to brands which they love, be that Burger King, Slim Chickens, Chopstix, Millies Cookies, Papa Johns, Costa or
J D Wetherspoon.

“With these four new J D Wetherspoon; the opening of our new £10 million water park at Kent Coast; and the renovation of the Marton Mere Show Bar, as well as many other investments in our parks, there are even more reasons to holiday with Haven in 2026.”

Michael Barron, Commercial Director, J D Wetherspoon, added:

“Our partnership with Haven continues to go from strength to strength.

“We are delighted that four new J D Wetherspoon pubs will open at Haven parks in 2026.

“We are confident that they will prove popular with Haven’s holidaymakers and owners.”
