Haven donates over £10,500 to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution

Leading UK holiday company Haven has been able to make a huge donation of £10,565 to the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) through an initiative with its owner community. 

With many people across the country opting to have a second home at Haven, one of the many benefits on offer is the option to upgrade. This year, Haven donated to the RNLI a £5 donation for each owner participating in the Part Exchange program.  

Presenting the donation to the RNLI on behalf of Haven is Anton Hook, Holiday Home Advisor at Greenacres Holiday Park. As well as working in the Haven team and part of the Part Exchange program, Anton is also an RNLI crew member at his local Pwllheli Lifeboat Station in Wales.  

Speaking of the donation, Anton said “Being able to present this incredible donation to the RNLI is an honour. The charity work incredibly hard to keep people safe at sea and I know first-hand from being both a Haven team member and a RNLI volunteer just how important these funds are to help the Institution continue their vital work"

Now in its fifth year of partnership with the RNLI, Haven’s guests, owners and team members across the country have raised close to £500,000 since the partnership began and is aiming for a record-breaking year in 2022.  

“The Part Exchange program Haven has run this year has given a huge boost to our fundraising efforts,” said Steve Hulbert, Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager for the RNLI. “With more and more people enjoying the British coastline this summer, the money will help us support our crews and ensure we can save more lives at sea.” 

Operating at 41 award-winning holiday parks nestled by some of Britain’s most stunning coastlines, Haven welcomes over 2.6 million people each year and with the help of the RNLI they can continue to keep holidaymakers safe.
